Hey there, fellow angler! Looking to tangle with some hard-fighting smallies right in the heart of PA? You're in for a treat. River Redemption's got you covered with our private half-day bass fishing trip on the Susquehanna and Juniata Rivers. We're talking primo smallmouth action in some of the best bass water this side of the Mississippi. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting your feet wet, our expert guides know every eddy, riffle, and honey hole to put you on the fish.
Rise and shine, because the bass are biting early! We kick off at 6 AM sharp, giving you a solid 4 hours to work those lures and fill up your camera roll with trophy shots. It's just you (or you and a buddy) plus your guide, so you'll get plenty of one-on-one time to dial in your technique. We provide all the gear - top-notch rods, reels, and a tackle box full of river-tested lures. And get this - it's all catch and release, so you can feel good about preserving the fishery for the next generation of anglers.
Listen up, because here's where the rubber meets the road (or should I say, where the lure meets the water). We're talking light tackle fishing here, which means finesse is the name of the game. You'll be tossing soft plastics, crankbaits, and maybe even some topwater if the conditions are right. Our guides will show you how to read the water, identifying those key structures where big bass love to hang out. We're talking submerged logs, rocky points, and current seams that scream "cast here!" Don't worry if you're new to this - by the end of the trip, you'll be working that rod like a pro.

Let's talk about our target species - the feisty smallmouth bass. These bronze-backed beauties are pound-for-pound some of the hardest fighting fish you'll ever tangle with. In the Susquehanna and Juniata, they typically range from 1-3 pounds, but don't be surprised if you hook into a 4+ pound monster. Smallies love fast water and structure, so we'll be targeting rocky areas, current breaks, and deep pools. They're most active in the warmer months, but fall can bring some epic topwater action as they fatten up for winter. What makes them so exciting? Their acrobatic leaps and bulldogging runs will have your drag singing and your arms burning. Trust me, once you feel that first hit, you'll be hooked for life.
Alright, let's cut to the chase. For just $300, you and a buddy can experience some of the best smallmouth fishing Pennsylvania has to offer. We run these trips daily (except Wednesdays, because even fish need a day off), so there's plenty of flexibility to fit your schedule. Remember, early bird gets the worm - or in this case, the bass. So why wait? Grab your spot now and get ready for a morning of non-stop action on the beautiful Susquehanna and Juniata Rivers. Whether you're looking to hone your skills or just want to unwind with some quality time on the water, this trip's got your name written all over it. See you on the river!

Smallmouth bass are the bread and butter of our Susquehanna trips. These scrappy fighters usually run 1-3 pounds, with some topping 5. You'll find them around rocky areas, submerged logs, and current breaks. They love clear, cool water and put up an impressive fight on light tackle. Spring and fall are prime seasons, but summer can be great too if you know where to look. Early mornings and evenings are often best. Smallies are popular for their aggressive strikes and acrobatic leaps when hooked. These bass aren't just fun to catch - they're delicious too. Firm, white meat with a mild flavor. Though on our trips, it's catch-and-release only to keep the fishery healthy. One local trick: When the water's low and clear in summer, try tossing small crankbaits or soft plastics right up against the bank. Smallies often tuck in close to shore to ambush bait fish. A quiet approach is key - these fish can be spooky in shallow water.
